Came across this page that has Elan manuals available.

Haven't used these (I already have a OEM Workshop manual) , so I can't vouch for them.

Anyone have any experience with emanulaonline.com ?

Paul.

Hi Paul.

I have downloaded a manual for my BMW Z3 3.0 i and the manual is over 5000 pdf pages!
The search function is very good and there are a lot of pictures.
As described, the manual covers different models and years so sometimes you have to be carefull not to pick the wrong year and model when searching for e.g. torque of a bolt or the wiring diagram.
Other than that it is good value for your money.

Considering the age of the manual is it still copy righted and if so how do they comply with the copy right?

I'm just interested because years ago I scanned my manual which is really useful to view on a ipad etc.

If the copy right has lapsed I'm happy to share

Steve

I think the copyright is still in place.......as Lotus still sell the manual......
this has been done before and removed from Ebay.....they were selling the manuals on CD......maybe not the same folk but several sellers were charging for what had been downloaded for free ........

There is a still a group in Germany that fob of photocopied books on all things Lotus. I did but a couple of books from these guys in my "youth" (20 years ago when I was middle aged). This was when I first bought my car as I didn't know of an alternative source for the Workshop manual at that time. They still imply that they are the only source of some of the manuals. For example the S1 to S4 and Sprint workshop manual is described as "only available here". I am sure Gordon Lund, Miles Wilkins and others are impressed to see their books being photocopied and sold without royalties for ther hard work.
