You are probably right. I just looked on a youtube video and it does seem a little less blue. I was going by memory.

Nothing wrong in taking a guess. Emma Peel's car was my dad's dream car and he had all of the corgi toys, I think that's where I inherited the Lotus bug.

[/img][/img]I know this isn't a pic of my blue Elan, but rather my old Bug-eyed autocrosser painted in Triumph's Valentia blue and this is the color that my white Elan S3/26R will be after its restoration. It is shown in the next photo of my garage being rebuilt, last time that Elan has been outdoors since 1984.

Funnily enough your Sprite is the same colour scheme of corgi model elan.
Your elan will probably look similar too. Keep me posted on that, our cars will be very similar when finished.

And my Modus F3 car will also be Valentia Blue (notice the orange nosecone sitting on the S3/26R) . I suppose I should get off the computer and out in the shop so that I can make some progress on these projects.

I know how you feel Roger, getting specialists to do it is another option but they charge a premium.

I spent the day yesterday with Dunclentdr1 at shelsley walsh yesterday It certainly put a spin on things. I was almost convinced that we were going to paint our car medici blue, but then I saw his car again. It was absolutely beautiful. The french blue sets it off perfectly and as a result we are going to paint it french blue.
I have attached a photo to show all of you!
Best regards, P

if I ever get around to putting my S4FHC back on the road... and can afford to have it painted, it will be the fabulous metallic blue that Renault Alpines were painted. The current version of that car looks stunning in blue, imho.
