20 + years in boxes - S2 missing engine parts

PostPost by: aosuk72 » Wed Nov 21, 2018 12:58 pm

Trying to see what's missing from from newly acquired 1965 S2 that was taken apart by the previous owner at least 20 years ago, I got the car and boxes and boxes of pieces and parts. I have the engine back together but I don't have:

Fuel pump spacer and bolts - I have the original glass pump that looks in great condition.
Camshaft - I have the other one and all the caps etc....what a thing to lose!

If anyone has these for sale or any insight on where I can get these parts please let me know.

The spacer is available from RDent for $9.00 part # 26E6043; bolts & washers are nothing special.

The bolts are hex head 5/16" x 1" , coarse thread. I must admit I use socket head cap screws for mine simply because they are a little easier to start the threads when the carbs are still on the head.
There is no cure for Lotus, only treatment.

Thanks, I found them in one of many boxes. Much easier when I knew what I was looking for!

I'm just north of Detroit. It's good to meet other Elan owners. Let me know if you want to meet sometime. I've got manuals, a parts book, and more if you want to look them over. Maybe you got a manual in one of the boxes.
