Whose Elan is this? Monterey

PostPost by: gjz30075 » Fri Aug 24, 2018 7:20 pm

So, going through albums of Monterey Car week, I spotted this one. I'm not sure what venue this is but
a nice looking car. Anyone on this forum? Or known to anyone on this forum?

Let's hope and assume it belongs to the guy rummaging thru the trunk. :)

While difficult to tell from the photo, the engine looks more like an Alfa twin cam than a Lotus.

The show in question was actually in ?Pacific Grove?, a similarly small village next door to Monterey. [It is sort of like the low rent district of Monterey, but don?t tell them I said that]. It is a nice enough place, and if you drive on Hwy 1 past Monterey [going North], then you will transition into PG, probably without even realizing it. And you will also find available less expensive petrol, fast & slower food choices, etc [compared to Monterey, that is]. They have a small, 1 day car show of sorts that intends to highlight smaller [micro, mini and arcane, by their definition] vehicles, 25 yr & older, and w/less than 1601 cc [or electric, now]. Why/how those criteria were chosen is far beyond my knowledge of this event.
just looking for clues at the scene....
