I am listening to you, on the ideal choice of rear shocks for Elan S2 in normal use. Make your comments, it can also help many of us!
I am looking for these parts:
- back shocks
- the sheet metal part of the air box attached to Webers- Elan S2 1966
- rear light Elan S2 1966
- clevis = JF11 (see drawing on the workshop part manual) attach to the end of the handbrake cable rear(at the pivot to the frame)
If you can help me

Bonjour,

as for shocks, I'm quite happy with my standard red Konis : for mixed use I've set them up a bit stiffer, but for as original road use you may set them on the soft side
for new parts supply there are several options in the UK, I mostly keep with the services offered by Sue Miller, Tony Thompson or Kelsport (ex. Pat Kelvedon), e.g.

air box plate late type

early type

lighting (not sure which type you refer to, and if/where the long type is best reproduced)
http://www.kelsport.net/parts/products. ... ctionID=42
brake clevis

no affiliation of my part - happy shopping...

Standard Elan shocks (dampers) were Armstrong I believe. Konis, Spax and Gaz are your other options.
