Reading a thread just now reminded me of some prolific posters a while ago, some, who rightly or wrongly added some heated discussion to this forum, and others with just down right good posts...

Gary Anderson
Twincam man
Old English White
Bill, can't remember him name from Birmingham Uk...

Any more?

Can't beat banter.....

Cheers
Mark

Or Marc Evans cars in Conn.

Prior notes in here suggest that they don't work either. ;-)

I think most of the old buggers are still around but are on multiple forums now. Back in the day this was our only fix.
I don't miss the 'passion' expressed in the old days; it all got a bit too heated for me.

I enjoyed the 'passions' except for one contributor-he made me ashamed to be Canadian...

I do miss Gary Anderson and his vast experience and helpfulness.

Same here on both counts (although I only have the Canadian heritage from two generations ago; Seal Cove, Gran Manan Island, NB). :D

I have just bought the wreckage of 26R/ 7779 all the numbers are crayoned on the tunnel and it has the chinese headlamps. Needs a 88% resto.... who should I send it to get it back into proper shape. Iam assured by the vendor that this is chassis no 98 and he has all the lotus factory records....Money no object resto by the way!

I sent Gary a message to his personal E mail to try to encourage him back to the forum.

I had got to damn near love the man and his exploits and miss his experience, input and banter.

AND -- I am a Canuck as well EH!

Mark,

I hope you got it for a good price, cause I don't think the number is right or the wheels right to be a 26R. I'd guess it to be an early S4 Elan, Perhaps 45-7779????
