S-3 tail light bezels

Are there any new sources for the chrome tail light bezel on S-3 Elans? This is the "Vauxhall" style light. I have a pair but they are badly pitted. Does anyone know if in fact they are from a Vauxhall and, if so, what model??

Thanks

Mike, I believe they were from the 1962 Vauxhall Victor and are usually considered unobtainable.
They do turn up on ebay occasionally, but are in great demand, so the price can be high. Lenses are easier to find.

I hope this site is current as they have charged my card for a pair of these. They are not chromed but could be chromed or, as suggested, polished to a high degree.

Thanks Mark and Charlie,

You could try treating them like a fibreglass repair.
Sand them smooth
Fill the pits with filler and sand smooth again
Paint with undercoat
Spray paint with Chrome-style spray paint.

Hi
Kelvedon is good. I had a few parts from them.
Can you tell us later, how good this bezels are?
Is the fitting the lenses ok? When you they chromed, enough space left for the lenses, or must you grinding a lot of material, for to make place inside, to apply copper, nickel and chrome?
It's possible, then they are a good, cheep alternative.
I had my bezels handmade in cast aluminium.
It gives much work, and costs me 600 bucks, and not including plenty of days work,
a boot full cigarettes and a truck full with beer!!

Has anyone considered having a small run manufactured via rapid prototyping? There are several ways of doing it, including having the 3D resin part plated with metal or a female mold plated for a short production run.

How many would be interested?

Thanks,
Dan
