Hi all, the first outing was a real treat, everything worked well other than the electric window motor failing on the drivers side, now sorted with a motor rebuild and rewind.
Restoration was quite minimal as it was in relatively good order before. The engine was rebuilt from the ground up in 2002, and had not been used since, so it has been treated with care to bed everything in and get it running smoothly. Front and rear suspension replaced, all brakes stripped and rebuilt, new pistons, seals etc. Replaced front end wiring loom, refurb rad and fit new Kenlowe fan system, heater matrix replaced, and a new set of rubber to keep it on the road. Bodywork and interior is as was from new.
Has been, and will hopefully continue to be, a lot of fun, without," tongue I cheek"...too many hiccups along the way.
