Just wonder what happened to David Brodie's Elan - is it still around? Simply an idle interest !

No info on the Elan, but I read an excerpt from his book a while back. It had me in fits of laughter a character to say the least.
Here's a link to his web site http://davidbrodie.co.uk/
If you can find the story of his mates missus being a bit promiscuous in the excerpts, it's a hoot.

Doug.

Brodie's car is not to be confused with the LHD Belgian car which has appeared in this thread.

Brodie bought the car from the guys at British Vita, where it had cleaned up in the hill-climb championships.

There is a load of info about this already on this site.... somewhere. :)

Car is still on the missing list, until someone reinvents it.

Love the last sentence ..." The only snag is the asking price is 2000 pounds plus" !!!

Inflation since 1972 has been about 1000% so 20,000 pounds today - a bargain the engine alone would cost you more

For some reason I've lost the knack of adding photos to the forum! Here is a magazine piece about the BVRT Elan... I hope!

Here is an Autosport article from Dec 73 on the Victor Raysbrook Elan, which raced against Brodie.
