...as many as I could including the original body (most people who make racers simply buy a new one!) - a credit to the body restorers when you see the condition of the body beforehand!

I'm on a similar project, though way behind (stalled for the time being), and still debating keeping the original body or not...

It's a real challenge to keep original parts (on the car I mean).

On the subject of Bourne body gel coat colour - I was going through some pictures of 26/0202 earlier and found some of it mid body restoration - it had crashed whilst racing in the 1960s and was left for 30 years or more, when restored a replacement rear end was needed.

On the attached photos (the ones on the trailer), I think the stripped front end shows the grey gel coat colour - hope this helps and grateful for comments and thoughts.

The early elans were definitely the most beautiful of all!!!
