I'm sort of with you there, I like the monotone cars and I nearly went monotone Pistachio for my S4. The 1970's colours are very fashionable at the moment, but give it another 10 years we will all be lusting after the white or blue shades again.
There was a very nice pistachio over white Sprint at the Club Lotus Malvern show ( held there because Donington was closed) and the combination of white, lime green and gold just seemed to work splendidly. Mrs T said she liked it and could we have ours that colour scheme, who was I to argue?
Probably the purest Elan of all is a pre airflow S3 coupe, I certainly wouldn't mess one of those up with two tone.
