How many Pistachio lime green cars are still left? I think it is a refreshingly 70's chic colour.

- not a popular colour in the original sales popularity stakes - just ahead of Tawny Brown, but how many are left vs how many were built.

- anybody know please?

We don't even know how many were built since Lotus records were lost for the period when Pistachios were produced - 71/72.

There's lots of pictures of my <Pistachio> car - here, http://lionheartsolutions.com/sprint0260k/LotusElanSprint_0260K.html enjoy!

BTW, my car was originally Colorado Orange, which these days I think is even rarer!

You painted a Colorado car Pistachio green? There is no hope for you.

Phil's car had been repainted by the previous owner (who had no clue about the original colors historic significance I suspect). I was around when Phil bought it.

Mine is the weird color - red.

Pistachio Green is my favourite colour for the Elan. Yes they seem to be few and far between.

I recently purchased a FHC Sprint in Pistachio and the colour is fantastic, especially on drab winter days - the colour cuts through the gloom ! 8)

- I don't know if you remember Cedric from across the pond, it was his car, and he spent a lot of time on it..

Thanks for the link Phil - I love the look of your DHC, simply gorgeous.

I'm just pulling Phil's leg, I think his car looks really good. I have weird taste, I like Colorado and am looking for a Sprint dhc in that colour. I have a red Elan too :D

When I got my 64' Super Seven in kit form, I painted it in a color that was very close to Pistachio. Great color for the car. My Elva Coupe was originally Bronze, but repainted by a PO, again in a color close to Pistachio. Not a good color for that car. Still thinking about a color for the Elva, and the Orange used on the Evora or the new Lexus would be a good choice. On the Elan, Pistachio has to be one of my favorites.

Colour scheme chosen by Mrs T. It certainly gets noticed, most people smile, some shake their heads, purists have raised blood pressure

I believe that the wiper rubbers on Alan's car may be to the original pattern. :)

I know of two others in the US besides mine. Mine is a 72 Sprint and was solid red when I bought it. Resprayed it to original colors in 2010.
