Is the steering wheel supposed to be oriented with the spoke up? Were the frame's on the early cars painted green?

Now you mention it, that is interesting... it does seem to be that way in all pictures!

Interesting point but if the wheel were to be shown in "conventional" position it would obscure the rev counter and speedo on the illustration showing the dash.

It's odd because the hub logo is right side up in all of the pictures also.

Yes the wheel is correctly oriented in the pics. The first few Elans were fitted with their steering wheel like that, I believe at around Unit No 0030 they moved to the more usual orientation.
