Burnt ends project

Bob,
A note of caution (and apologies if granny is ingesting her omelette through her teeth) but you need to be very cautious when handling and dealing with burned remains. There are lots of toxins and corrosives and doubtless carcinogens left over from the various burning plastics in the body, trim and wiring as well as rubber. You need to be very aware of skin contact with and of getting any of it in either mouth or lungs. Please seek professional advice on this so that the necessary precautions can be taken.

Steve,
Thank you for your concern regarding toxins from the crispy critter I have acquired. Most of the yucky black boogars should be pretty well gone by now as what what is left of this car has been sitting since 1978. The body and wiring were all pitched many years ago. The body I got with this project although really ugly, is not original. I have all the mechanical bits but only a few of the original body bits.
I never got cancer from all the melted endbell fumes I inhaled from racing slot cars back in the 60's, so I should be OK...
THANKS!

I recognize a couple of those pieces. I think the actual fire must have been in '74 to '76. Good luck!
