TVE 101K a nice story

Having just seen my sons wedding photos i thought i would post the following

in 1973 i purchased Elan Sprint TVE 101K from cambridge sportcars, it had done 10k miles and i was the second owner, the first owner was a BA pilot
i was 21 years old and my father had a local wartburg garage who help me though a succession of 20 cars build up to this incredible sports car.
12 months or so later i sold the car to a friend of mine as we needed the money to get married, and that was that and never saw the car again until...i was gutted but we needed the money, house deposit etc
Some years later i decided to try to see if i could find the car and after years of searching, by contacting the next 5 owners, one was in jersey, i found the car in 1999 derelict at the back of Ken Myers garage which was the first time i met Ken.8.30 pm on a cold november night, but the car was there
Neil and Ken agreed to restore the car for me and the car came back home some 12 months later where its been in my garage ever since.
Last year my son got married and the car took centre stage and i have asked Tim to post the photo of us round the car on my sons wedding day

And here it is. The car is in immaculate original condition.

Hope the day was happy and memorable, Deryck.
