Some will now this Bourne bodied car, with race history and original chassis, recently returned to the UK for Australia.

At some point the car had an engine change.

This is a very long shot - does anyone know the whereabouts of engine LP670?

Thanks

David

Which parts are you trying to locate - the block , the head both?

Assuming it was not destroyed in an engine blowup the head may be sitting under the bench of someone on the East coast of Australia. The original mk 1 heads tend not to be used much these days as the inlet manifold tracts were smaller in diameter and many racers have collected the spare ones over the years and have them sitting unused -- so it may been out there with someone.

The block could be anywhere in anything and tend to be reused so finding it is much less likely .... but scratching a Lotus engine number on any old 120E block is not to hard

I am sure I can find a 120E block with LP670 on it and no one could prove it was not the original. Its price would be very reasonable also given its special rarity value but shipment back to the UK of this extremely special block would be expensive

cheers

Is that from Nick Stagg? If so it looks superb.
