Glovebox handle

One of the pleasures of assembling a "purchased as a collection of parts" Elan S3 is I have no idea what some things are intended to look like.

Anyone have a picture, drawing, or other info on what the glove box handle for a 67 S3 drophead looks like. Perhaps even a source for one. I have what appears to be the original locking latch but no handle. I'm not hung up on being exactly original but would at least like to buy (or make) something that "looks right"

All help gratefully appreciated.

They come from the BMC 1100/1300 range I think the Vanden Plas, Riley, Wolseley models.

Thanks guys !!

At the risk of "gilding the lily" if someone has, or can measure the center to center distance for the screws I would be most appreciative of that info.

Not all S3 dropheads have a glovebox handle. My late S3 a Super Safety. has no separate handle. My early pre-airflowFHC has a glovebox handle held on by 2 screws, but does not have a lock. Both cars have their original, unmodified dashes.

I believe the SS had a handle that was part of the lock assembly. Perhaps a little finger pull that had a large hole in it that was held in place by the flange ring nut of the lock. I made a wire loop that clips into the holes in the ring. Not a very secure lock, but it just is not by its nature,
