Pete, thanks. - have posted a few photo's (Although I have got much better ones!)
I will have another go at registering the details - Actually I have had the car for 10 years but new and still a lot to learn about these forums. - I acquired the car from a good friend who was original owner but he would not have registered either.

Did you get the message I sent you? (it should say at the top of the screen or when you log in you have messages). As Tim said the records for your car are lost so as you know the original owner I was hoping you can help us fill in the blanks.

Batch numbers continued to be used by production into the Esprit production, it was simply decided it was not necessary to have this as part of the VIN from 1972.

No, sorry it's a nightmare.. they just try and get me to 'win' a phone.. even if I keep saying it is made by banana! - how do you stop that nonsense?
Can you send the message here? I'm sure I can get all the history / req'd info - my pal is getting older but he loves and still remembers everything about the car!

I have sent a PM, its original colour, engine number, dealer etc. I know I wont capture every Elan, but the more I do, the better so that we have a better picture of the total of all the colours made etc.
