S3 centre console

Hi

I just got hold of a new (well old - but in good nick) centre console and have a couple of questions:
- should there be sound proofing felt on top of the fibre glass tunnel?
- the seat belt bolts will foul the console when fitted - I'm loathed to cut a hole in my "new" console - any thoughts?
- does anyone have a need for a very tatty old console? I think its a S1/2 one with the centre padded bit NOT overlapping the edges. Minimal price, located in South Bucks, UK.

thanks

Nick

I'm looking for a S2 console, but I'm looking for one that can be made pretty reasonable ( well, very reasonable if truth be told).
How tatty is 'tatty'?

Hi Graeme,
It's got cutouts to clear the seat belt bolts either side, has a crack in the front side (not visible really), for some strange reason it has two holes drilled in the top and has a bit of blue over-spray (no idea why) on the driver's side).
Ping me your email and I'll take some pictures.
Cheers
Nick

Nick,
Yes, the felt should be there, all Series have it, per the Parts Manual.

If Graeme is not interested in the console, I'd be interested in only the top half of the front part, ie, forward of
the padding. Would you ship to US? I'll pay shipping of course and your minimum price

Thanks
