Has anyone bought a new hood (top) for their S1 or S2 recently?

Should I get one made locally or buy from one of the suppliers?

Any experiences, good or bad?

I am in Australia so if I buy one from overseas I would like to be reasonably sure it will fit.

I need one too. My inclination at the moment is to go for a Sue Miller one, based solely on the comments I've read on here about quality and fit. No direct experience of them though. Perhaps we can get a discount for a multiple buy

I understand that the hood supplied by Dave Bean in California is the closest to original, although expensive, especially if ordering from the UK. Maybe your best option for you though Peter.

Sue Miller's parts are always very good, and I would certainly get one from her Geoff.
