Lotus Elan and Lotus Elan Plus 2 Forums

Haven't posted for a while
Had my engine and car sorted by GST performance and was very impressed, but I am sure they will understand i need somewhere local for the odd fettle and service. I have tried a few local and have not been impressed in fact very disappointing.
So I need a recommendation for somewhere south of m25 50mile max away from BN10 brighton area

Long ago Bell & Colvill used to do some work on my 1967 Elan. Nowadays they do the more modern Lotuses of course, but I would not be surprised if the same blokes are in charge and still know how to do the classic Elans.

Miles Wilkins is not far from you in Yapton.

went to bell and c yesterday got a lovely Exige sprint in there , they dont like tinkering now with the old cars, thanks for the reply

Miles was the first to have a go on my elan and i must say he is a legend the status earned years ago, nice enough guy and I always see the good in people, I've even got all his books. My car broke down leaving his garage on the way home, and there was an 1" of water in the foot-well of the car. I've got a few receipts from the progress garage with the same probs. it went to GST in the end as mentioned they impressed me but its a nightmare getting there for me i have to hire a low loader etc etc
Miles no doubt could build you the best elite/ elan out there if you want to wait years and if he was in the mood to do so..
