It's funny that because there aren't many people assume they have some thing special or Limited, fact is i'd have been bouncing off the walls if i had paid full Sprint RRP and got a retrofitted car.... BUT!! My car doesn't owe me much so i can't complain.

As for the Red S4/Sprint, don't like it....has Black wheels on makes it look common

On a more serious note, not masking/removing the catches in the bonnet spoil it for me. If their going to all that work rebuilding it etc little things like that spoil the detail.

Hood finally fitted properly so i can get soaked and not be able to see where i'm going at the same time now as opposed to just getting soaked

Sue Miller (Everflex version)

Can't recommend the hood enough, was a Doddle to install (i've seen custom made hood that don't fit as well) and having a decent fit made life so much easier to get it nice and tight. I also took Sue's advice and made it fully detachable, it makes sense to store it in a manor that doesn't put fold lines across the clear panels as per original.

All in all very happy with it.

Only problem now is it's highlighted all the water leaks

I don't think you should change anything. Silver wheels suit it. I too am not a huge fan of the repeaters or the decal on a single colour car.
I do think the bottom undersill looks better painted black to 'waist' the body, but it's no big deal, especially if you are not doing the wheelarches, which I 'get'. A number of the racers have their arches in body colour and I think that looks fine.

I think the plan at this stage is to finish it fairly close to how the original owner had it then maybe black the sills etc once he's seen it.

What's going on with the tail pipe of the exhaust Chris? Do you have a different back box?

Yes, it has a period aftermarket Peco exhaust fitted (bought in 1980 by the previous owner and never fitted) frankly it's coming off the first chance i get (too loud and raspy for me) i had never seen another 2 seater Peco back box fitted and frankly i know why now which is odd as i love the sound of the +2 version.

As you can see it's got a tiny box...... Label has fallen off as well i would have bought a TTR back box if it was compatible with my Ceramic manifold (might involve me knocking up a slightly different y pipe)

In reading the string, I bottomed out at the question about the paint source. Unfortunately, I found no continued banter. However, I truly love the hue of white you have on the car, and would like to source it for a current S3 project nearing that stage of renovation.
Do you recall the name or source of the white? (I love that it's not stark, but rather elegant and warmer!)
