Posted: Wed Jul 24, 2013 2:56 pmAnd if you look at the Value of the complete Car at 1500.00 that makes the Engine approx. 33% of its value, and today a rebuilt Engine is approx. 7500.00 and the car 22000.00 again approx. 33% of its value !!! Some things do not change

Posted: Wed Jul 24, 2013 7:23 pmIn1974 I going to college and making minimum wage probably about US$2 an hour part time. I couldn't afford a Elan then let alone any of those parts. Instead I had a VW Beetle I paid about $300 for and all my parts came from the wrecking yard.
