Today is the 40th anniversary of getting my S1 registered in my name.

I'm not sure when I bought the car though!

I can't remember, but I think back in those days you got the log book updated only when you felt like it - or more likely when you wanted to get a tax disc.

By December '73 the car was wearing black paintwork.

Wow, there's only one word - congratulations!

I'm sure Leonard, Jeremy and David have all spent the last 40 years saying "I should have kept it."
