This photo is of Bill Morris in 1968 at the Albany-Saratoga Speedway. Does anyone know him from back in the day?

Sorry to reingnite a 7 year old thread (I just stumbled across it by dumb luck) but this is my father, William (Bill) Morris.

Unfortunately he passed away in 2014 but the car in this picture has been passed on to me and is happily being driven by the next generation.

This Elan was driven as a daily driver (and occasionally raced) until 1974 when it was taken off the road. It sat until the mid eighties when my father took the body off and welded up some reinforcing for rusted spots in the chassis. Due to the illness of a close friend however the project was halted soon after it was begun. He married in 1999, I was born in 2001, and the car was partially restored and returned to the road once again in 2007. After he passed in 2014 the car had no caretaker and was once again taken off the road until I found my passion with it in mid 2018 and completed another partial restoration of it in April 2019.

If anyone has any stories or old photos like this from ?the good old days? please pass them on to me as I am always trying to piece together his history from before I was born.

134,000 miles on the car (2,500 since it?s been in my possession) and going strong!

That's cool that we have closed a connection, glad to hear that the car is up & running again.

that looks just like my s2 looked in the 80s, does anybody know the chassis number ore plate? Was it imported to uk?
