UCA 163D S2 at Le Mans Classic

PostPost by: Tahoe » Tue Oct 02, 2012 3:04 pm

Just recieved the latest issue of Classic Motorsports sister magazine of Grassroots Motorsports and on page 44 is a picture taken from the rear of a red S2 following a yellow Elise and a Morgan at the Le Mans Classic pre-race touring laps. Picture is almost half a page. Who's car is this? Link below, but you need to subscribe to get the digital edition. A free trial is available is that works for you.

He's a well-known local reprobate with some Le Mans history to his name; I can't see the photos either, so please could you do as Gareth suggested re the linked picture?

I am reliably led to believe that, subject to the ACO listening to common sense (possibly for the first time in that club's existence) and change their rules; our afore-mentioned reprobate might be back at Le Mans for the main race, rather than the Classic, within a couple of years. 8)

What are those extremely odd looking cars in the background of the first picture? :)

Tim

Edit to clarify - Pete's photo of the Elans coming out of the pit lane

Yes they are Morgans ... very odd cars, never understood their attraction and yes, I was being ironic.

The only car I can think of which has a damp-proof course and Bayonet tacks on the parts list! Really!
