Goodwood wot an event
I was there early and the marshals where a little asleep I was sent to the wrong car park and then again. I was sent to the front gate where I was waved through!! I asked where I shall park "oh pre 1966" they said!! I am a 69 shhhh,, over there they pointed where i drove amazed around the perimeter of the famous good wood track and took in the sights, and I did not even show a ticket. Driving past the main entrance for the second time it looked rather manic and spectators where now flocking into the event so I parked up in a gravel bay by the loos as you come in to the left on display to thousands. Anybody see me? I was not supposed to be there!
So the Elan was represented in a little showing for its 50th Birthday at the Good wood Revival after all

No; Jackie Oliver was in that race, driving his old car, but it's red.

I think the other gold bug was Sean Walker (Ian Walker's son).

And one taken in the pits on Saturday the 15th! My first visit to Goodwood and I was not prepared for the huge variety and quality of rare cars. To roam the pits and hear them run and smell the Castor oil-just wonderful! How about over a dozen 250 GTO's? Eric
