You don't say who or where you are!

You don't say what cars! Jaguar, Aston......?

Or perhaps Lotus?

You need to help us help you!

(I thought I would get in before Gary..... )

Send your chassis/unit number (off the VIN plate) to: [email protected]

From my own experience Andy will provide you with the build data relating to your own car, however, Lotus in the 60s/70s were not good at creating and/or retaining accurate records, so his records are limited.

Andy Graham is your man at Lotus Archives. That said you will get an invoice date and probably an engine number if they were sold as complete Elans (not a kit). you will need a chassis ID/unit number Photos are good.

see this link for Andy's contact info
business-listings-f3/lotus-historian-andy-graham-t22221.html

The other info you are looking for SE spec and col(u)or are not available so do anything you want, no one can really question it. That said there are ways to id color and spec when you disassemble the Elan and strip of the paint but I am not going to get into that right now.

Gary

p.s. - thanks Roy - I need all the help I can get :D

a bit of give and take... I suggest with the wealth of knowledge on this site a few pics / snippets of information on you and the cars and you will get a lot in return.. having said that Andy Graham is a great start for historical information (basic) but for the real information this forum is the place. But, it is a 2 way street.

Good luck with the restorations.
