Gino, Very nice work ! Looking forward to seeing more progress. What color will it be ?

It looks like you worked on the doors because they fit well.

Hi Bob,

I'm going to do Medici Blue (sky blue) with opaque silver hardtop and bumpers.
Initially I thought of the Gulf livery but then I was persuaded not to :|

Keep you posted.

Just posting some pics on how i fitted the air scoop to cool the diff.

I bought an aluminium hose reducer 76mm and a 76mm flange to sit above the diff.

Put a hole into the side of the sill wher the scoop fits and made a 50mm and elongated it to swing it vertical, cut the excess off then bonded it with black sealer silicon.
One of teh screws that holds the external scoop penetrates the wall of the reducer to hold it better in place.

See attached pics
I made it up as I went along and dont know if it's right but it looks ok

It looks sensational Gino, i like the Medici and silver combination and quality of your work.

I'm at about the same point in rebuild of S1 26/0429 which I've painted Flag Metallic Blue the colour used on the Ecurie Ecosse race cars. I've seen the last 2 days on wiring and fitting hardtop before sending the car to the trimmer

Keep the updates coming

Beautiful. Have you lowered the car? The way the arches frame the wheels is sensational. :)

Hi ,
Thanks for all your nice comments...
I've just set the car up as is for now whilst i'm rebuilding, and although it looks good low down, I'll probably need to give a little more rake.
Badges went on yesterday and although I put the shield badges on in the wrong place they look ok to me.
I put the badges here because I need to fit the side repeaters in their place.
