Posted: Sat Feb 04, 2012 7:12 pmthe normal way to bend alloy or to straighten, is put soap on the area first. Then heat and when the soap changes colour to brown adjust it quickly with something handy 
For the crack i would just get it welded. After polishing it will be as good as new.
