Hello All,
I just attended another great Lotus gathering this weekend in Tokyo.
It was 10th Lotus Elan Meeting and there were close to 50 Elans and several classic Lotus cars including Seven, 11, Elite and Europa. It was a great way to celebrate with these many cars at the site and perfect way to spend a weekend!

Nice to see quality along with quantity. Whenever i see an early lotus online from Japan the quality and care taken are superb. The silver dark red combo is nice - any chance you now the color name of the red ( looks darker than regency red)
Odd that there a 160+ views and 2 comments - perhaps if the cars were vinyl wrapped and closer to GMT there would be more conversation ..

Hi cabc26b,
It is "Regal Red". The S2 is a US model Elan and the color was somewhat popular in 60's.
American muscle cars, such as Chevy Chevelle, used this color.
I have to say people here in Japan keep their Elan in great condition. They do really take care of their car!

Great photos! Thanks for taking the time to post them.
It's a shame we have so few Japanese contributors on Elan.net.
The cars do look remarkably well looked after.
I wonder how that white S1 copes with the heat of a Japanese summer when it's air intake is full of Japanese and UK registration plates/numbers?
If you have anymore pictures please post them.

Beautiful cars and gathering. And a lot of hardtops. Very nice.
And I, too, like the red/silver combo. What is the name of your car's green colour?
Obviously many people in Japan like vintage Lotus!
Would enjoy seeing some more pix, too.

I have to agree with you, that colour really shoews the car at its best.
