I was guessing a body stocking, but whatever works.

I still like the term merkin, however! :D

At a guess I'd say that's probably the first use of the word "panties" on LotusElan.net. :D

No doubt someone will find it somewhere in the archive.

The original one from the colour series is in the Cars of the Stars Museum in the Lake district.

Here are the most important first five minutes of that Avengers episode, showing that fabulous portal. No sign of undercrackers, as far as I can see. http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/action_adventure/watch/v18460039TWmErBES

Ignore the advert thingy which comes on first.

Oh, I know exactly where that location is. It's the disused gate of an estate that is now a Golf Club, the club members enter in a different place.

I have not posted in a very long while, but it is appropriate that my 1st message now would be to say that, even as far away as Manila, Mrs Emma Peal made quite an impression in the 1960s.

From what I remember, that was always the problem.

Andy,
Indeed you have been away for a long while; hope that you are well and I think that Mrs P was the reason that quite a few of us got into Elans.

Thank you both. It is good of you to remember.

I am fine and will try to post an update on my Elan. I have been away too long.

Best wishes,

Andy
