thank you very much for all your help!! I think first of all I have got to try one on the road, to check out if it's exactly what I'm looking for... but although I'm quite sure, because I think it feels like an old Elise...

My second problem is, I don't know where to find an orig. Elan Sprint; I want one with those gold leaf colours, pref in red.... I have searched the whole internet...: Mr Matty, mobile.de, autoscout24, classicdriver.com, Pistonheads... no chance  :?:

If you have not already done so, join some of the Lotus clubs. Tha latest edition of Club Lotus News has several Sprints for sale.

Janus,
I know you say you've looked at Pistonheads but there is a Sprint there, O.K. its NOT red and its a fhc, cant remember if you wanted a D.H. or F.H.

I think it was on this forum at one time. I HAVE NO CONNECTIONS TO IT.

Hello to everybody !

I am from Portugal, and I own an S4 FHC.
I have been recently following this forum, and besides generaly
enjoying your contributes, I have been able to learn more regarding
our beloved cars.

I am posting directly in this post, because I would appreciate if Mr. Matthew would be kind enought to get in touch with me, or give me is direct contact, as I have coverted my S4 from RHD to LHD, and have not up to know been able to perfectly convert my pedal box accordingly.

Regards to everybody,
Pedro

There's a good looking and up together Sprint DHC on ebay (UK) currently:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LOTUS-ELAN-Sprint ... dZViewItem

An unusual colour in all black...with a gold line it could be a JPS! (not that they were made). Many Gold Leaf colour Elans were originally a different colour, changed because the red and white is so attractive...so if originality is of interest beware, if not, you could get the black car and re-paint.

Just for a bit of fun I have a '74 Ford F100 pickup...8 ft wide with the mirrors and LHD...which in England in the country lanes isn't at all worrying ...for me. Scares the hell out of the oncoming traffic though!
RHD would be a real advantage with that, but like the others above, I don't think that being on the 'wrong' side in an Elan shouldn't make too much difference.

Appears to have been messed with at the back.
Rear wheel arches have been cut away to clear wider wheels.

Peter.

Dear Luca,

what have you done at the end?
Have you converted the car?

I'm thinking to do the same and I was wondering what was your experience and what was the final cost of it.

Thanks in advance
