Tim Mees Passes Away

Sorry, but I seem to have double posted this.

For any who are interested, Tim Mees seems to have passed away last month. I had been trying to get a hold of Tim for 5 weeks now to meet up for a beer, and pick up a crash pad for my S1. Without a response I peeked at his web page only to see the announcement by his family on the front page http://www.type26register.com. My best wishes go out to Tim's family.

It seems a terrible time to ask, but does anyone know if the crash pads were made? I'll be in the UK from Sept. 8th to to 16th and would still like to pick one up if possible. I was on the original list, but Tim would never take a deposit.

I spoke to someone at Goodwood on Sunday who had been sourcing some of the parts for Tim. Hoe told me that there were 4 or 5 people who were going to keep the work of the register going.

In the first instance perhaps contact Richard Ford whose email address is on the register site.

My original post contained Richard Ford's email address and I thought maybe that was unwise ..... spammers etc.....so I deleted it after Paddy posted giving the same reference.

Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks for everyone's help. I've emailed Richard and he got back to me with Charles Giles's email, who is managing the Type 26 stuff. Hopefully I'll hear back soon.
