Lotus Elan

Tracking Down a Sprint

PostPost by: trw99 » Thu Apr 28, 2022 5:26 pm

Thank you chaps!

The car was advertised, albeit briefly, on Facebook. I got in quick!

Although the paintwork looks good in the photos, it is well worn and would not win any prizes, not that I wish it to.

I've been taking photos for the insurers, Hagerty, today.

Looks very nice Tim, are you sure you are not bringing it to Combe?

So that you don't think I'm going soft, I have one question and one observation

Question: Where's the lip on the rear valance?
Observation: Running rich going by the staining...

Running for cover now.....
Kindest regards

There can't be many Elans left with their original paint now Tim, and the whole car looks to be in remarkably original condition. Simply stunning.

What a great find Tim, you must be properly chuffed. Although I love Lagoon Blue over Cirrus White this looks great in Lotus Yellow over Cirrus. An original maintained Sprint-am truly jealous although this one is now in great hands.
Congrats!
