Just a follow up.
Eventually fitted a pair of audi A3 front bumpstops after advice from a friend

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT

Feel ok - from what I can tell, tried a few hard corners and seem better than the solid bouncy rubber ones previously used. after all that stuff from Powerflex in the previous thread I used the scientific method of leaning on both bumpstops together to test the difference. The Audi ones seem to have an amount of squash before using up their resilience.

Took an hour to fit each side so no big deal if they turn out to be rubbish.

I hadn't seen this debate first time around, but this differences in bump stops came up in slowsprinter's post on his sprint restoration. Spyder assembled his rear struts and it looks like they put 2 of the TTR bump stops on each side. TTR had only sent 1 for each side on my car. When I called to inquire, they said that is what they recommend for their fast road set-up, so that's what I am planning to install with their 100lb rear springs and koni inserts. Dan
