My S2 came with a pristine restored dash, and when I pulled the map light to replace the bulb, the wood/varnish was badly scorched. Goes with the territory, I guess.

I recently replaced all the bulbs in the interior lights with LED's - much brighter, less power to run them and most important in this thread, much cooler (no scorching...).

So, with what looks like a month's rain in prospect, I decided to bite the bullet and start the refurb of the dash and rewiring.

I finally got it back together and went for a freezing drive today. Here's the dash - re-veneered and oiled. Still looking for a suitable trim.
