Sorry to have missed this evening (due to preparing my car for the annual BMW festival) which I attended two years ago. I recall the magnificent cam tailed elite on that occasion...

2010 Date and details:

"Workshop Open Evening (a popular Lotus event), this is taking place at The Old Dairy Barn, Lamer Lane, Wheathampsted. AL4 8RG - on Wednesday 4th August, from 7 p.m. onwards. There will be a small BBQ and also drinks and other nibbles. All money raised for the Isabel Hospice."

I shall be going with my wife. Any one else hoping to go?

I'm hoping to get there, but alas I have some complex commitments elsewhere this week and may not be able to make it on Wednesday evening.

And alas my Elan (which was Malcolm Ricketts very first Lotus, long ago) is out of action, so I will have to arrive in my mundane: A Renault Grande Espace, which on Wednesday will probably still have half a ton of historic magazines (about computing) still in the back.

Hi All
Attended the Malcolm Ricketts evening this week for the first time since buying my Elan in 2002, and having lived in Hertfordshire and moved oop North - finally managed to juggle work to attend and what a fantasitoc selection of cars and history about man and machine racing - and not forgetting the company of great friends and contacts met and made since owning the Elan.
The tidy garage and wiorkshop is one I am aspiring to for the next house! :)
.
Would like to thank Malcolm and Wife, and support team for holding an evening to remember and the weather didn't make any difference. Really good and in diary for next year
Hope everyone enjoyed the evening and a good fundraising effort was achieved for the Hospice

Have a good weekend all

Ah, you posted it on the year 2010 thread, it might make sense to repeat your posting on the thread for the 2013 meeting.

Pity you didn't see that before or you could have met up with me, Spyderfan, 512BB and Tappetman.

See our photos & tell us if we captured you.
