Real nice pictures of your engine. One suggestion. You probably already know this, but for those of you who don't, the leads are coming out of your distributor at 12:00. You can easily adjust them to come out at 10:00 so they will more easily route up between the intake manifold by pulling the distributor straight out (the rotor will rotate due to the bevel gear) and then rotating the shaft 60 degrees clockwise from the position it stopped at before pushing the distributor back into the block. Then, it's just a matter of timing the distributor. The leads on my distributor come out at 9:00 because they are routed around the back of the engine into the spark plug valley. Hope this is somewhat useful information.

Yes thanks Frank I know I can move it around but as I recall it then made some of the leads a little short and some of the HT cables were tight to get on the plugs, of course I can swap the leads around or fit longer ones but I cant really be bothered as as the head is coming off (AGAIN!) when I get the time....... (the pictures are old ones of a previous strip)
The car needs a new head and no one wants to sell me one at a reasonable price.......... (DO THEY Mr X? :( )
I will probably try to sort it out over winter as my time has been taken up sorting out my S3 which is now about finished.
