What is it worth?

I guess that for anyone outside the UK Club Lotus isn't very good value for money. But for me it's worth supporting them just because they organise the Donnington, Stoneleigh and Castle Coombe events. Yes I know anyone could do that, but they don't and it wouldn't happen without Club Lotus. The mag is pretty good too, but as you say Thor, largely replaced by this site and indeed, I've learned more about Elans in 2 years on this Forum that I have in 25 years being a member of Club Lotus.
I'll still pay my subs to Club Lotus though!
As for values, I, and I'm sure that many others, value originality over modified, and would pay more for a faded original Elan than one with all the bolt-on goodies. A car is only original once, and for me a good restoration can only seek to get as close to original as possible.
Having said that, I've just posted on the Elan Gallery some pictures of my BDA engined Elan....not too original, but as it was done in '71, I've accepted it!
Yeah, I know
