Hi everyone,
Some time ago there was an Elan register, can someone tell me where its gone if it still exists.

I've seen +2 register, but not one for the baby elans. (+2 site is http://hemsidor.torget.se/users/p/plus2/register.html). There's also a historic Lotus register, not specifically for Elans though... http://www.historiclotusregister.co.uk/

Thanks Brian. Hey Jeff, is there a way we get this link to the main page of lotuselan.net? Thanks.

As the owner of the registry, I'd be happy to have Jeff either link it to LotusElan.net or I could even transfet the code and data to him. Whatever is easier for all of us.

Jim,

Thanks for your effort on the Elan registry. I found it through this thread and am now 134 in the DB. It's starting to give a good spread of dates and chassis numbers. I would also like to see a link from this site, so maybe we could double the size of the registry. Also, suggest those few of us in USA who are in the registry with city only and not state should request update of their entry with state so a sort by state would retrieve all nearby Elan owners.
For those interested in production history, I have some specific information that may help. My S3 SE was manufactured in February 1967 and is chassis 45/6759. It is also engine LP7464. This is the first engine in a series of late MkI engines to be fitted with MkII bits, namely a press-fit oil pick-up tube and the stronger 125E rods. The rod information is a little iffy, since there is no known published data to support this, but an early engine mod effort revealed mine had the later rods, so assume maybe both MkII mods were introduced simultaneously. If anyone knows differently, please correct this.
