If I was to sell my '63 S1, in Australia and with a racing history, but partially restored, what would it be worth ?
The car is complete, all the small bits are still with it, that I know of anyway
The chassis and running gear is completely restored, all totally rebuilt. Standard engine tune, close ratio box, 33.55 diff.
The body is the next thing to do, paint completely stripped off, ready for a few repairs and paint.
The car competed in Queensland from '64 to '66, witrh some good results.
I am fishing for what you consider the car to be worth to sell as is.
Thanks
Jeff

As a finshed road car in newly restored orginal specification condition it would be worth something over A$35,000. So in present state I would expect around A$20,000 to A$25,000 given at least $10,000 to paint and complete the rest of the car with the buyer providing most of the labour.
The car should be able to be completed as a historic racer in group M sports given its racing history or in Group Sb Production sports or as a road car which gives the buyer a few options and may help boost the price.
If I had the garage space I would be tempted
cheers
Rohan

I think Rohan would be on the money with that estimate.
There was another S1 (very early) missing the cylinder head (and other engine bits) and no racing history but otherwise all there in Qld a few months back that sold to a business acuaintance of mine for $10K.
I would have thought $20 - $25k would be right, probably advertise at $25K and you will get something more than $20K
Good luck

sorry.... guessing you were thinking more?
You never know maybe more a case you have to find the right person for the car and you will get what you want for it.
What did you think it was worth?
