Concentric Slave

Hi All,
My S3's clutch release arm is pretty ratty at the throw out bearing end
(I could probably weld it up if I had to) so this gives me a good excuse to
pursue the concentric slave approach. It has been suggested that the Saab
900 Turbo concentric slave cylinder is the easiest to adapt, Since the Saab
part new costs less than the (unobtainium) clutch release arm, I believe
that it is worth investigating.
I'm pretty sure that someone out there has already done this conversion, but
I am wondering if anyone has specific drawings, measurements and other
information for what is needed. I do not have the Saab part yet, this is a
feasibility check. Here is what I know so far:
I would have to use the later pressure plate where the convex throwout
contact engages the bare clutch fingers.
So much for what I know, now what I don't know.
Can the existing input shaft housing be adapted?
If not, is there another housing that can be adapted?
What is the slave piston travel using a standard S3 master cylinder, which,
I believe has a 5/8 inch bore?
Thanks in advance!
Stan A.
