Elan crash pad

Well, I do intend to finish my S4. Some advice an building the crash pad
is in order. I have one of those vacuum formed pads to use as a
foundation. I intend to foam it and cover it with vinyl. Anybody ever do
anything close to that? Other approaches welcomed.

Brian,
I made up a new crash pad a few weeks ago with foam, fiberglass, and
cardboard. Then covered it with vinyl. But I'm rather cheap. I did do quite
a lot of checking before I went that route. I believe Europa Engineering was
the cheapest but freight from England offsets any savings. Next would
probably be Sports Car World in TX. They have them for about $199 this
month.

I have a 1969 Elan +2 and was wondering if anyone has a dash pad or know
where I could get it.

Thanks in advance.
