metal "U" channel

I need to find a supplier of thin wall metal channel. My new dash is a
little thicker and the old channel used for the under dash trim is too small.
Has anyone used a substitute for this when creating the under dash trim?

Bob,
Couldn't you rout out the back of the dash enough to reuse the original U
channel?
Seems like the path of least resistance.

I am opposed to routing as the rear of the dash is finished and I am
concerned with scratching the front finish.
Besides the original was a tight fit. I found the proper size. Its a matter
of getting a small quantity. The manufacturer has an order minimum of 5000
feet! Bending it will be difficult but in the end provide better results.
