LOG 26 - A Question about the Picture of Elans

Fiat used a similar color on the X1/9. Saw one painted with brown
spots with the lights popped up - frog is the correct description.

Are you sure those weren't brown rust spots?

Hey, I drove my '77 X1/9 every day for 8 years without a day of
mechanical trouble or body rust. Of course, the floor boards, shock
towers and other structural areas were not so obliging.

Seems the Italians dipped the cars in salt water just before painting!

By the way, I bought a '78 X1/9 on E-bay two years ago and it has no
rust anywhere. It shares the garage with my '69 S4 and I drive it
when I want to fewel a larger car around me than the Elan.
