T/C dist.

I have not run my TC since it was rebuilt. It was dynoed.

The vacuum advance dash pot is now rotated 45 degrees from the position it
was in before the rebuild. It now blocks the oil pressure transducer.

Can I change the vacuum advance position without changing the distributor
timing?

You can set the body of the distributor at any angle you want.

Set the engine to cylinder 1 TDC compression stroke. The distributor
rotor arm should be pointing at cylinder terminal on the cap. Pull the
distributor out, you will notice the arm turn slightly as you pull it.
turn the distributor body to the angular position you want it without
moving the distributor rotor arm position relative to the body and
reinsert, the rotor arm will again rotate slightly as you insert it
back to its orginal position. You can now retime the engine precisely
by turning the body slightly in its new location.
