I am a real novice with Lotus cars and wonder
how you fold up the headligts without putting
the lights on.
How do you adjust the lights from lhd to rhd,
do you pull the rim off and find some adjusting screws
there.
What about unleded petrol, i have been told that
the engine will cope - noe problems with valve seats,
is this true!

The dire warnings about valve seat recession problems on unleaded fuel
exist primarily to sell the unwary engine work they do not need, or
additives that will do their engines more harm than good.

If you continue to worry about it, make sure the machine shop where you
take your head on next rebuild uses hardened seats (they will anyway).

Not to mention that any Elan that has not had cylinder work done to it since
unleaded fuel came out is probably due anyways. ;)
