Spark Plug caps resistance

Hi,
could someone please let me know the resistance of the spark plug
caps I have a problem starting the car and despite changing the leads,
distributer cap, rotor arm and coil, still have a weak spark. The ones
fitted are 5K ohms but I also have some that measure about 15K, not
sure what they are off of. The leads are solid wire and all read about
0 ohms. The car is a 1968 +2.
Thanks
Steve
