I bought a used pair of sun visors from a S4 FHC and was hoping to
fit them to my S4 DHC. Does anyone with visors have a photo of the
inside top corner of their windscreen frame that might shed some
light on how I might go about this?

The FHC have hollow mounting pads for the base of the sun visor to attach
and the visor arm spring to recess in. (The FHC also has a somewhat
similar pad for the rear view mirror.) Do you have mounting pads under the
black vinyl in the GRP windscreen header of your DHC?

I was trying to puzzle this out as well. I have a S3 DHC converted from a
FHC, but the Chris Neil sourced windscreen header from the 80's does not
have the pads I mentioned above. From looking at published road test photos
from the period I am coming to the conclusion that few if any S3 DHC had
sun visors. But most of the S4 DHC did, particularly the Federal ones. The
parts manual shows different visors for the S3 and the S4, compared to the
S3 SS and the Fed S4. And that the Federal LH S4 DHC sun visor was
different than the Federal LH S4 FHC sun visor. Unfortunately, the parts
manual does not include a diagram that reveals the differences between the
different visors.
